Cleveland may soon have a Car Sharing program!

I thought this was a pipe dream for a city like Cleveland, but The Civic Innovation Lab gave CityWheels $30,000 to develop a car sharing initiative in Cleveland.

"Carsharing means having access to a network of cars throughout the city, 24 hours-a-day, without the fixed expenses of car ownership or the paperwork hassles of car rental." It's most effective in cities, especially mixed-use areas.

Cleveland's geography doesn't seem conducive to living car-free, but people are doing it.

I think it's great.
